"It's the final show of the year (27th to 3rd) and of course it's time to look back at some of the fine mixes aired on Solid Steel in 2004. Coldcut open the show featuring their own bootleg mix of the White Stripes amongst other fine music. Then its DK taking the chair with tracks from Ty and Roots Manuva, Kano, Five Deez and more hot tracks from the magical record box of Solid Steel!
The second hour starts with the best guest mix of 2004, as voted by you the listener, and it's Diplo giving us his DJ Shadow based half hour from earlier in the year. This guy has made a massive impact this year, watch him coming on even stronger in 2005! Strictly Kev steps up for the final session to close the show with a half hour of reggae & steel drum cover versions in Strictly style along with excerpts from The Mighty Boosh! So long 2004, welcome 2005!"

Amon Tobin, dessen aktuelles Album auch diese Woche in der Ganzen Platte lief, wird am Donnerstag (19.04.) im Rahmen der aktuellen Tour zu seinem einzigen Auftritt in der BRD ins Berliner Lido kommen.
