DJane Marcelle/Another Nice Mess zählt zu den stärksten Live-DJ's und spielt ihre Sets auf Bühnen in ganz Europa. Anfang Januar hatte sie viel Erfolg bei ihrer Auftritte in New York: 'She transforms everyone's idea of how to dance and feel great' wurde in Amerika über sie geschrieben.
Man weiß nie was bei Marcelle als nächstes kommt. Die Holländerin surft sich durch Stile und Richtungen. Auflegen mit der Mission spannende Musik zu spielen. Ähnlich wie ihrem Mentor John Peel, den sie 1981 kennenlernte, geht es Marcelle darum Geschichten zu erzählen, Referenzen herzustellen, Energieströme zu kanalisieren. Sie kennt sich aus mit Dubstep und World Music, sie ist in Drum n Bass genauso daheim wie in experimenteller Elektronik, Cumbia, Minimal, Dub, Dancehall und HipHop usw. usf.
Ihren DJ-Stil kann man nur mit einem Wort beschreiben: Freiheit. Nämlich die absolute Freiheit, alle Regeln zu brechen und z.B. afrikanische Trommelmusik mit female Rap zu mischen, oder chinesischen Dub mit österreichischer Zieharmonikamusik, basslastigen Dubstep mit Tiergeräuschen, Breakcore mit Postpunk und Minimal Techno mit Acid Vocals. Und so abgefahren und unbeschreiblich diese Mixtur klingt, so sehr zwingt sie die Anwesenden unweigerlich dazu, sich auf die Musik einzulassen und zu tanzen, tanzen, tanzen. DJ Marcelle hypnotisiert ihr Publikum sozusagen vom DJ Pult aus.

In June she will record another double vinyl mix album at Faust Studio in Scheer, the successor to the nearly sold-out 2008 album ‘DJ Marcelle/Another Nice Mess Meets Her Soulmates At Faust Studio Deejay Laboratory’.
